the third gate - where you show the ticket that you just bought at the second gate (if you actually did, which we didn't). We got to the middle of the line and then realised we had to go and buy a ticket. Americans are all psychic and know this stuff so they don't have to put signs up to tell people this kind of stuff, apparently.
